Pocket Vapor VP-600 ReviewPocket Vapor Vaporizer Review ![]() Portable vaporizers are really starting to come into their own. Some are even more efficient than home units! However, portable vaporizers are still in their infancy, much like the entire world of vaporizing. The Pocket Vapor is a very basic yet very functional unit for a very reasonable price. You can even carry it in your jacket…somewhat. Here’s what I mean… Pros & ConsPros:
THE BOTTOM LINE: THE BOTTOM LINE: The Pocket Vapor had me excited to try it. A portable vaporizer that ran on butane and that was small enough to easily carry. Well, almost small enough. It’s small, even with the whip attached, but there are smaller portables on the market. The way it works is you fill it with butane, load the crucible (which has plenty of room for your tobacco or herbs), attach the whip and pull the trigger. The crucible that holds your tobacco or herbs is set in a ceramic cup that is being heated by a butane flame when you pull the trigger. After a minute or so of pulling the trigger, you let go and inhale. It all works quite nicely. After some trial and error, my tobacco/herbs came out well spent. It’s a little tough not knowing the temperature you’re vaping at but you can figure it out pretty quickly. It was really nice to not have to worry about a cord. What I didn’t like though, was the amount of plastic they used on this unit. While it won’t touch your tobacco or herbs, some parts near the top and intake hole do get quite warm. The trigger feels a little brittle as well. Now, I’m not going to sit here and nitpick this unit against some of its MUCH more expensive brothers. That’s not a fair comparison. Ladies and gentlemen, this is an EXCELLENT unit, especially when you consider the price. If you want bells and whistles with your portable vaporizer, you’ll be spending considerably more money. If you’re on a budget and want a great portable vaporizer, this unit’s for you! Components/Parts:![]()

Cleaning:Cleaning the Pocket Vapor is very simple. Use a Q-Tip with Isopropyl or Rubbing Alcohol and swirl it around the inside of the metal cup that attaches to the whip. You can soak your whip in the same liquid for an hour or so. Rinse off with water, dry, and reassemble. You may have to use a small scrub brush to get it thoroughly clean. DO NOT try to wash the Pocket Vapor unit itself!!! Other Tips:
